My only disagreement is the initial comparison to “Black & White” when discussing, “Gay & Straight.” Many straight African Americans (as I am) are offended by this “apples to oranges” comparison.
You didn’t know banquest managers and wedding planners are gay unless there is some revelation or demonstrative characteristic that they may CHOOSE to display that would give you a “clue.” Until then, they’re probably just another cool, fellow, white professional.
