I think the state of lighting technology is amazing right now and we as DJs have a LOT of options for our events. I will often look around for concert or festival style events to see what they use and more importantly how they use it so that I can create new ways to light my events. In my opinion I feel that lighting the room is the new rend or style for our events. Controlling uplights and other fixtures for effect and dance is the direction that I am going after so that everyone feels they are part of a big party while the entire room lights up!
