Down south, we are known for our manners and our hospitality, but Jim Cerone schooled us on how to bring southern hospitality to every event. Of course, with Jim…it’s how to bring great big Italian family hospitality to every event!
It seems simple, but sometimes we forget the simplest things.
Put Yourself in the Bride’s “Shoes”
When was the last time you entertained in your home? Did your spouse make you clean for three days? Did you spend WAY too much money buying stuff for your yard and home? Did you finally get around to the top 10 things to “fix” around the house? Was it important for you to make a great impression on your friends?
Now magnify that times ten, and that is the pressure your clients are feeling when they are hosting the most expensive party they have ever had!
Every bride’s biggest fear is that her party (her very expensive party), will be a big disappointment. She wants everything to be perfect, and for everyone to have a great time. She just isn’t sure how to make that happen.
That’s where we, the professional wedding entertainers come to the rescue.
Jim Cerone - The Perfect Host
Sure, that’s important, but assisting your couples in hosting the event is where the magic can really happen and the only way to successfully do that is to actually CARE about the outcome. Then the motivation behind every choice you make will have her best interest in mind. Success will be guaranteed if you follow Jim’s example.
It might be darn near impossible to be as perfect a host as Jim Cerone, but all of our businesses would blossom if we tried. Because if we made everyone at our events feel as welcome and wanted as Jim made all of us feel when he went around the room and called everyone he had just met, by name, our phones would be ringing off the hook with people clambering for our service.
If you haven’t met Jim Cerone, go out of your way to introduce yourself to him at the next convention.
Footnote to Perfection
Just in case knowing everyone’s name wasn’t impressive enough, as a woman, Jim impressed me even further. He opened every door we approached and held it for me AND as we were sightseeing around Richmond, every time we got out of the car, he offered his hand to assist! What a gentleman! Gentleman Jim, indeed! He is The PERFECT HOST!
