As I frequently travel across the country to speak to fellow colleagues I generally get my inspiration while on a long flight.
Although I am vacationing, I am writing this installment while good thoughts come to mind.
I am currently reading my monthly issue of Success Magazine with Usher on the cover.
I was just pondering the thought about how fast this year has gone by and what I need to do to prepare myself for an even better 2011.
I recently read an interesting interview with Erin Brockovich — yes the one that Julia Roberts made famous in an Oscar winning film in 2000.
She mentioned that she had an epiphany, and realized that your success, happiness and survival begins with you. Erin said that we must assess who we are, not what possessions we have, and that we must make any changes necessary to become who we want to become.
In my opinion there is the motivational part of the equation. There are successful people who lack talent and then there are talented people who are unsuccessful. If you aren’t successful, it is because you lack motivation.
My main motivation is my wife, children, and grandchildren. I enjoy traveling around the world with my wife. I am thoroughly motivated by my family.
For me to close out the year, I am looking forward to Christmas with my entire family. Next year I’ll be celebrating my 15th wedding anniversary in Italy. As for my business, I’ll work even harder to realize my dreams.
There is a verse in Scripture that reads “Without a vision the people will perish.” As we enter into Fall, I encourage you to find your epiphany. Don’t wait for the New Year, get a head start and reinvent yourself. Make the necessary changes for yourself, for your family, and for your DJ business.
Take inventory and scale new heights that were always there waiting for you to conquer. And always remember to keep the faith. Be blessed my friends.
