Creating an Impressive Business Image

Take a moment and look into the mirror right before meeting with a potential client. Do you see an image that “screams” well-groomed, properly dressed, competent professional?

Beyond your personal presence, your business image is also defined by your accouterments.

That’s why it’s important that you make sure that all your “trappings” look polished and professional, too, and that you are projecting an image that shows your prospects you’re worthy of their trust.

Details Matter

When it comes to your business image or branding, details matter. Your potential customers will see and observe not just you, but your vehicle, your equipment, and your surroundings – and note their condition.

Is there anything that’s detracting from your business image and potentially repelling prospects?

A sadly battered chair or a dead shrub in front of your office could be a major turn-off. If you haven’t scrutinized your surroundings lately, inspect them and make sure that they’re projecting a successful business image that will inspire trust and confidence in your prospects and clients. Fix and replace what needs to be to ensure that you’re projecting success.

Two Key Elements

The impression you create in face-to-face contact must reflect your position in the market and create credibility. Convincing potential clients of your credibility requires two key elements:

1. Knowledge - You must be seen as not only highly knowledgeable about your products and services, but also about the prospects wants and needs. Promote your services by not “selling,” but rather by providing expert information.

2. Trust – Potential clients must believe that you are authentic, that you will act with their best interests in mind. The bottom line is that they must trust you.

Business image is extremely important to people who have many choices in deciding which DJ service to book for their event. Developing a strong brand identity is to crystallize – in your prospect’s mind and heart – the image you want to convey.

Be sure that the image you convey is consistent and impressive!
